Introducing Phesten

Born on the 13th of February 2000, Stephen Nana Kyere goes by the stage name "Phesten" - an anagram of his first name. Growing up between Sunyani, Accra and Kumasi, Phesten's sound encompasses a unique blend of various Ghanaian cultural influences.

At the young age of 11, Phesten registered his name into the music scene with a cringe-inducing and unsuccessful audition to the televised talent show "Talented Kidz" - a memory he would love to forget.

Despite starting his musical journey as a die hard Sarkodie fan, Phesten now cites Amaarae, Kojey Radical, Kwesi Arthur and Akan as his musical inspirations. Incorporating a varying mix of Afro-pop, grime, trap, indie, R&B and alternative sounds, Phesten's artistry embodies nothing short of originality
